FACILITIES
CLASSROOMS
Each classroom has a white board, bulletin boards, TV/ projectors and a computer installed with e-learning capsules and teacher developed resources.
SCIENCE LABORATORY
The science laboratory offers a chance to children to experiment and learn, to learn by doing. It is equipped with the materials required for the science curriculum up to class X. Students are guided by their science teachers who stimulate their curiosity and encourage them to experiment and find out more.
LIBRARY
It is a vast resource centre for the students and the faculty. It is stocked with a collection of almost 6000 books-fiction, reference books, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, maps, models periodicals and magazines. Syllabus based text books from different publishing houses are also kept to encourage self study habits. Teachers also use these resources to enable them to teach a different perspective. The library subscribes to children’s magazines, periodicals and 3 newspapers – the Times of Oman, The Hindu and the Times of India.
The library is equipped with A.V. resources for kindergarten like rhymes, story telling, G.K., learning English and Maths through the play way method. The juniors have subject based CDs. Teacher prepared learning resources are also maintained in the library. The library has also initiated a reading club where juniors are encouraged to read books and submit a book reviews which are displayed on bulletin boards.
We have a spacious library that plays a vital role in the development of information –literate students. It provides ample information and ideas that are fundamental in today’s information and knowledge-based society.
We have a wide collection of more than 4000 books ranging from story books for lower primary, primary, middle and senior sections; novels and fiction; magazines, newspapers and pamphlets. The school library is open from Saturday to Wednesday from 4.30 p.m. – 6.30 p.m.
COMPUTER LABORATORY
Computer education in schools plays important role in students career development. Computers and the internet not only help students to explore creativity and imagination but also help to understand technologies. The school has two computer labs with computers of latest processors in order to provide the computer education and equip the IT skills for the students of Classes I to X as part of the regular curriculum and for Class XI and XII the students opted for Informatics Practices as one of the elective subjects. The computer lab is also open to the members of the IT Club.
MATHS LABORATORY
The Maths lab is where teachers put mathematic principles into practice. Children are encouraged to find mathematics around them, be it making 3D models, making clocks or making balances, finding out the area of their classroom, finding patterns in nature and more. Children are encouraged to exhibit their work through practical means.
SPORTS
The school has a modest sports ground where sports like Kho-kho, cricket, football, throw ball, badminton and basketball are encouraged. The School P.E. instructor trains and guides the students in the various sports events. Training is also provided for various inter school events like shot-put, discuss throw, table tennis, long jump and athletics in the evenings.
ACTIVITY HALL
Students use this room for yoga, dance, art and music classes.
KINDERGARTEN
Kindergarten Learning Centre:
The kindergarten program provides initial learning experiences in language development, number concepts, creative skills, and social and physical growth. The curriculum is framed in such a way that academics is taught with fun filled activities to develop various kinds of skill. We conduct various competitions to develop their interpersonal skill.
Educational experiences provide balance and variety among physical, mental, spiritual, and social activities as the child’s world of awareness is extended from the home to the classroom.
Kindergarten Activity Room:
The activity room is designed to make learning fun and exciting .students love this room as it has many toys and educational games to develop their fine motor skills, cognitive skills, verbal-linguistic skill etc. The concept of the activity room is about ‘Learning’ through play, in a totally different environment. All games are conducted as a part of the planned educational programme.
